Piano Instructor

About

I’m 27 years old and I grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. When I was six my big brother taught me my first song on the piano and after that I wanted to learn more. I started taking piano lessons and years later I graduated as a piano major from Dreyfoos School of the Arts which then led me to transition to New York.

Experience

I have been in the music industry for 10 years now. It all started with teaching my neighbors how to play a few notes on the piano and then it just took off. Since then I have also worked as a performer, composer and producing music for Radio and TV.

Philosophy

Music is a universal language that anyone can learn. As a teacher I believe each of my students have amazing potential as creative individuals. My goal is for my students to have fun and read music as easily as they can read a book. With practice, dedication and a strong foundation I am confident that all my students will be able to reach their highest potential.

Ages

I specialize in teaching kids between the ages of 7-12 years old. Although I teach all levels of music I prefer to start with a beginner. This way I can ensure a complete understanding of fundamental basics rather than filling the gaps their previous teacher left behind.

Teaching

Every student is unique so I teach each of my students differently with a tailored program according to their needs. I am exclusive and go out of my way to teach at your home because kids are more adept to learning in the comfortable environment of home while using their own piano. Also I endeavor to use fresh new methods of pedagogy while intertwining technology into lessons. I specialize in teaching children and I do not overbook my self so that I can give the best of my energy towards teaching my students.

In Home Lessons

The best environment for learning

The only advantage that a music school can offer is low-cost lessons. Low-cost means low quality instruction which can cause you to progress slower and leave you frustrated.

On the other hand, with piano lessons in your home you will save time, gas money, and hassle! Also the best way to master the piano is to learn on the same instrument you practice with. Learning on a teacher’s piano instead of your own can make lessons confusing, especially for beginners. Additionally a great benefit of in home lessons is that the student is already warmed up after the lesson providing momentum to begin practicing immediately. Practice leads to great results. Results mean money well spent!
